Super TET (Super Teacher Eligibility Test) is the state-level competitive recruitment examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) to recruit Assistant Teachers in government primary (Classes 1–5) and upper primary (Classes 6–8) schools across Uttar Pradesh. Candidates must qualify UPTET or CTET before appearing in Super TET.
The examination syllabus (10 Primary domains and 3 Junior streams) and revised exam pattern (120 questions, 120 minutes, 360 marks, +3/−1 marking) have been verified. The formal recruitment advertisement, official vacancy numbers, and application calendar are expected from UPESSC; dates remain marked TBA until officially gazetted.
Primary Teachers (Classes 1–5) teach across 10 foundational subjects in Basic Shiksha Parishad schools with D.El.Ed/BTC qualifications and Paper 1. Junior Teachers (Classes 6–8) teach specialized subject streams (Language, Social Studies, or Science & Mathematics) in Upper Primary aided schools, where B.Ed and D.El.Ed graduates with Paper 2 qualification are eligible.
The examination consists of 120 objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 120 minutes (2 hours). Each correct answer awards +3 marks, and negative marking of −1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer, resulting in a maximum score of 360 marks.
