UP Super TET 2026: Revised 120-Question Pattern
Under UPESSC Advertisement No. 05/2026, the examination scheme has undergone three major official reforms.
Do not guess blindly. Unlike the 2018 and 2019 examinations which carried zero negative marking, the 2026 paper penalizes wrong answers by 1/3rd (-1 mark). 4-Step Online Registration & Submission Pipeline
Follow this sequential workflow to submit your UP Super TET application without clerical rejections:
Complete your OTR on upessc.up.gov.in. Verify Aadhaar, mobile number, and primary email ID to generate your permanent UPESSC Candidate ID.
Log in with OTR credentials. Fill D.El.Ed (BTC) marks, UPTET/CTET Roll Number, and select your preferred Uttar Pradesh district cadres in order of priority.
General / OBC: ₹700 • SC / ST: ₹400 • PwD: Nil. Submit fees online through State Bank of India Collect or debit/credit card gateway before 04 Nov.
Download final e-application receipt. Any correction in category, photo, or spelling must be done before the correction window closes on 07 Nov 2026.

D.El.Ed (BTC) / B.El.Ed Marksheet
- Document Type: Final Year Marksheet / Degree Certificate
- Allowed Format: PDF Format (< 200 KB)
- Quality Criteria: High-resolution flat scan; text & marks legible
- Issuing Authority: P.N.P. Prayagraj / NCTE-recognized University
- UPESSC Rule: Complete aggregate marks and division must be distinct; blurry scans will lead to disqualification.
UPTET / CTET Paper-I Certificate
- Level: Primary Stage (Classes I–V Qualifying Certificate)
- Allowed Format: PDF Format (< 200 KB)
- Cut-Off Check: General ≥ 90/150 (60%), OBC/SC/ST ≥ 82/150 (55%)
- Issuing Body: UP Basic Education Board / CBSE DigiLocker
- UPESSC Rule: Roll number and qualifying status must match online application entries exactly.
Eligibility Self-Check: Are You Qualified?
Before applying on upessc.up.gov.in, verify that you satisfy all four statutory conditions under Advt 05/2026:
Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates).
2-year D.El.Ed (BTC) completed, 4-year B.El.Ed, or 2-year D.Ed (Special Education) recognized by NCTE. Note: B.Ed is strictly ineligible for Primary Assistant Teacher per Supreme Court orders.
Passed UPTET Paper-I or CTET Paper-I (Primary Level, Classes 1 to 5) with qualifying marks on or before the application closing date.
Minimum 21 years; Maximum 40 years for Unreserved. Relaxations: SC/ST/OBC +5 years (up to 45), PwD +15 years (up to 55).
Supreme Court B.Ed Ruling (Devesh Sharma v. UOI)
By landmark judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the NCTE notification dated 28.06.2018 allowing B.Ed holders for Primary Teacher recruitment was quashed. Consequently, B.Ed degree holders are strictly ineligible to apply for the Primary Assistant Teacher (Classes 1 to 5) posts under UPESSC Advt 05/2026.
Only candidates with D.El.Ed (BTC), B.El.Ed, or D.Ed (Special Education) alongside UPTET/CTET Paper-I qualify.
