The online application window is open from 16 September to 15 October 2026, fee payment is accepted until 15 October, the application correction window closes on 19 October 2026, and the written examination is scheduled for 3 & 4 December 2026 across 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Primary Teachers (Classes 1–5) teach across 10 foundational subjects in Basic Shiksha Parishad schools with D.El.Ed/BTC qualifications and Paper 1. Junior Teachers (Classes 6–8) teach specialized subject streams (Language, Social Studies, or Science & Mathematics) in Upper Primary aided schools, where B.Ed and D.El.Ed graduates with Paper 2 qualification are eligible.
The examination consists of 120 objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 120 minutes (2 hours). Each correct answer awards +3 marks, and negative marking of −1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer, resulting in a maximum score of 360 marks.
