Special Relaxations for Shiksha Mitras & Ex-Servicemen

  • Shiksha Mitras: In accordance with the UP Basic Education Service Rules, currently serving Shiksha Mitras who possess the prescribed D.El.Ed/BTC and TET credentials receive age relaxation corresponding to their total continuous service length.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Defense veterans can deduct the entire duration of their military service from their actual age; if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum prescribed age limit (40 years) by more than 3 years, they are deemed age-eligible.

Mandatory Domicile Condition for Age Relaxations

Out-of-State Candidates Evaluated under General Age (40 Years)

Under Uttar Pradesh reservation laws, age relaxations (+5 years for OBC/SC/ST, +15 for PwD) are strictly admissible to bona fide residents of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who reside outside Uttar Pradesh are classified as Unreserved (General), meaning their upper age limit is fixed at exactly 40 years as on 1 July 2026.
