Release Timeline & Post-Exam Status
The official Provisional Answer Key for the UP Super TET 2026 written examination is expected to be published on upessc.up.gov.in within 7 days of exam completion, by approximately 11 December 2026.
Following the written examination conducted across Uttar Pradesh on 3 and 4 December 2026, the Commission will release scanned master question booklets along with official answer keys for all four question booklet series (Series A, Series B, Series C, and Series D). Candidates will be granted a 3 to 5-day window to raise online objections against any disputed question.
Provisional vs. Final Answer Key Lifecycle
Candidates must understand the two distinct phases of the official answer key release:
| Parameter | Stage 1: Provisional Answer Key | Stage 2: Final (Revised) Answer Key |
|---|---|---|
Expected Timing | Expected by 11 December 2026 | Expected late December 2026 |
Objections Allowed? | Yes (Online objection portal active) | No (Final & legally binding) |
Evaluation Role | Preliminary score self-check for candidates | Used by scanners to compute final results |
Fee Required? | Fee per challenged question (refundable if upheld) | No fee (Informational gazette) |

How to Calculate Your Score Under the +3 / -1 Rule
When comparing your carbonless candidate copy of the OMR sheet against the official answer key, apply the statutory formula:
Total Net Score = (Total Correct Answers × 3) − (Total Incorrect Answers × 1)
- Count every question where your marked bubble matches the official answer key: multiply this count by +3 marks.
- Count every question where your marked bubble differs from the key, OR where you bubbled two circles: multiply this count by 1 mark and deduct from your gross total.
- Do not deduct any marks for questions left completely blank.

Official Objection Submission Protocol
If you identify an answer key error (e.g., UPESSC marks option 'B' correct, but authoritative standard reference books establish that option 'A' is factually true), submit your challenge through the official portal:
- Log in to your candidate dashboard on upessc.up.gov.in using your OTR ID and password.
- Select the question booklet series (A, B, C, or D) and question number you wish to challenge.
- Upload documentary proof (scanned PDF page showing book title, author, publisher, and page number).
- Pay the prescribed objection fee per question (typically ₹500 via online gateway). Under UPESSC rules, if your objection is accepted by the subject expert committee, the challenge fee is refunded in full to your source bank account.

Accepted Academic Evidence Standards
The Subject Expert Committee of UPESSC rejects private coaching guides, Wikipedia screenshots, and unauthorized web pages. Objections must be substantiated with scans from NCERT textbooks, Uttar Pradesh Basic Shiksha Parishad (SCERT) textbooks, Hindi Granth Academy publications, or standard reference works by recognized university scholars.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if a question is found to be incorrect by UPESSC?
If the expert committee determines that a question has multiple correct answers or is fundamentally flawed, the Commission typically either cancels the question (distributing marks proportionally) or awards full marks (+3) to all candidates who appeared in that shift.
Where can I download the official revised answer key?
